Roland Garros - Day 13 - Organisers debacle

Day 13 of Roland Garros 2019 and the semi finals and an organisers mess

Men’s Singles

Semi finals

Rafa Nadal (2) smashed Roger Federer (3) 6-3 6-4 6-2 on Court Philippe-Chatrier

Dominic Thiem (4) led Novak Djokovic (1) 6-2 5-7 3-1 when play was suspended for the day.

The organisers, the term used in jest, of Roland Garros 2019 continue to create a complete mess of the final days of the clay court Grand Slam tournament.

Not content with dismissing both womens semis off the main court and denying those patrons at least one terrific contest, the idiots scheduled the start of the men’s semis on Court Philippe-Chatrier later than the women’s - armed with knowledge that we could have had two five setters, and that the weather was going to be a lingering threat throughout the day.

Of course the weather did arrive, and while the womens semis were completed because of a sensible starting time, we now have an incomplete men’s second semi final. Nadal is safely through to Sunday’s final, but his opponent will be placed at a clear disadvantage by having to finish the semi final on Saturday.

These dingbats probably think DEUCE is orange and LOVE is blind. Certainly their decision making lacks vision.
