Garin, Tsitsipas win titles as Madrid continues

First round matches in Madrid concluded in the women’s draw, and an initial couple of men’s opening round contests happened.

Meanwhile trophies were handed out in Munich and Estoril.

Matteo Berrettini defeated Roberto Bautista Agut (4) 6-4 6-2

Later the final was contested:

Cristian Garin defeated Matteo Berrettini 6-1 3-6 7-6(1), his second career title, both this year. Garin moves up 14 spots to 33 in the rankings, a career high.

The final was won by Stefanos Tsitsipas (1) who defeated lucky loser Pablo Cuevas 6-3 7-6(4), his third career title.
