Wildcard Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) 6-4 6-2
Tsonga moves up the rankings from 210 to 140.
Herbert moves to a career high of 36.
At the moment there are five Frenchmen in the 30-36 ranking range.

Sofia Open in Sofia, Bulgaria
Daniil Medvedev (3) (RUS) defeated Marton Fucsovics (HUN) 6-4 6-3
Medvedev moves to seventh in the 2019 ATP Players Race, while Fucsovics moves up 59 spots to 22 in the Race.

New York Open - an ATP 250 category tournament, on Hard Indoor, in Uniondale New York, 11-17 February 2019.
Defending champion: Kevin Anderson who defeated Sam Querrey 4-6 6-3 7-6(1)
Anderson won’t be defending his title due to injury, and his place in the tournament was taken by Peter Polansky
As well as Anderson, the following players withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:
- Alex de Minaur, replaced by Lukas Lacko
- Feliciano Lopez, replaced by Guillermo Garcia-López
- Michael Mmoh, replaced by Paolo Lorenzi
John Isner, world number nine, is top seed.
The other seven seeds are all in the top 75, three of those in the top 40.
The top four seeds have first round byes.

Dominic Thiem who defeated Aljaz Bedene 6-2 6-4
The following player withdrew after entering but before the main draw was published:
- Pablo Carreno Busta, replaced by Christian Garín
Dominic Thiem, world number 8, and defending champion, is top seed.
The other seven seeds are all in the top 50, three of those in the top 20.
The top four seeds have first round byes.
