Final:
Liudmila Samsonova (8) (Russia) v Elena Rybakina (4) (Kazakhstan)
Samsonova won the first four previous matches between the pair.
However, Rybakina won the most recent of the five played:
Abu Dhabi - semi final, February 2024.
Rybakina saved a break point in game three of the opening set.
She held for 2-1.
Samsonova was broken in the following game and trailed 1-3.
Rybakina saved two break points in game five before holding for 4-1.
She then broke to lead 5-1.
Rybakina served out the set 6-1.
Breaks of serve were exchanged in games three and four of set two. 2-2.
The same occurred in games eight and nine, leaving Samsonova ahead 5-4.
Rybakina held serve, drawing level at 5-5.
Serving at 5-6, again to stay in the set, Rybakina saved three set points.
Eventually she held, forcing a tie break.
Samsonova won the tie break and set 7-6(2).
Rybakina broke serve in game two of the decider.
She consolidated to lead 3-0.
Rybakina broke again in game six to lead 5-1.
She served out the match 6-1 6-7(2) 6-1.
