Djokovic wins Paris Masters

Finals day in the Paris Masters 1000,

Rolex Paris Masters - an ATP Masters 1000 tournament, on Hard GreenSet on boards, in Paris, France, 28 October - 3 November 2019.

Defending champion:

Karen Khachanov who defeated Novak Djokovic (2) 7-5 6-4


Final result


- Novak Djokovic (1) defeated Denis Shapovalov 6-3 6-4


For Shapovalov, his performance this tournament, the best ever at Masters 1000 level, has boosted his ranking up 10 places to a career high #15.


Masters 1000 title number 34 for Djokovic (second only to Nadal with 35), and title #5 for 2019.

Five Paris Masters trophies now for the Serb champion.

In the 2019 ATP Race, Nadal leads with 9585 points, and Djokovic is next with 8945.


In the world rankings, Djokovic will surrender his top spot to Nadal, despite the Paris success.

This is due to points from last years ATP Finals being removed.  Djokovic loses 1000, Nadal loses 0 because he didn’t play.
